Hey Now. This is Addi. Thanks for taking the time to check out some balloon bass action. This site, and the simple act of playing the balloon bass, is a real dream come true. Anyone who has been around me for more than 20 minutes might have heard me explain how I got into balloon twisting because I had a serious lack of talent to pursue my childhood dream of playing the trombone. I partially got over my hang up in large part by improvising balloon hats, in a way very similar to jazz musicians, and actually made a career of it (www.balloonhat.com) When I learnt how to make a balloon bass, because it was made of a balloon, it instantly bypassed all the neurosis I had nurtured for 15 years about playing music. My goal is to play as often as I can, in private and public, and to create moods and feelings that affect and inspire people. I look forward to adding new stuff to this site as it bubbles up. Also, I am in the process of putting together an all balloon instrument band with a couple talented friends here in Los Angeles. More info on that soon…..
